Founder Profile

Karim Rehmat is the Founder of Kent Advisory, a multi-family office and wealth advisory firm, focussed on alternative investment and legacy planning. The practice builds on his 25+ years of managing and operating private equity funds, hedge funds and family offices as a C-Suite. Most recently, Karim was Partner and Head of Operations for Centerfin Capital, a fintech in the wealth management space. Prior, he was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Paragon Outcomes, a private equity firm focussed on real estate, real assets and credit. In the years preceding, Karim managed larger hedge funds, including D.B. Zwirn and HFR Asset Management and was a chief advisor to the President/CEO on a wide range of strategic topics. He began his career in public accounting at Arthur Andersen. Karim is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. in Accountancy from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Over the past decade, Karim has been active in philanthropy projects with the Chicago History Museum, the Aga Khan Foundation, and Open House New York.  He also participates on the board/advisory committees for a number of private for-profit companies in the real estate space.

In his spare time, Karim enjoys playing tennis, attending concerts at Carnegie Hall, analyzing subway maps, and watching independent and Oscar nominated films.
